Title: Confusion about tickling the watchdog
Post by: fanboi on October 12, 2013, 14:03:30
From looking at the Universal DLL PC Watchdog Programmer's Guide, it appears that the WD_GetTempTickle function is what I need to call to reset the timer.  Is this true?  I am a bit confused because it also reads the temperature.  I am not concerned about the temperature.

Is this just a case of a function doing two different things?  Or, is there another (non temperature-related) function I need to use?

Consider it an added bonus - tickle the board and get the temp in return.

Historically our first ISA based board had very limited I/O capability so we returned the temp from it for a tickle to save I/O ports.
